LOT Polish Airlines have always attached great care to their image, developed throughout years, supporting numerous reputable cultural and sports events and getting involved in charities.

Until the end of   2008, LOT as a national  air carrier had always participated in undertakings profitable for the country which strengthened confidence in the Company as a socially responsible entity. LOT supported Polish science, culture and sport; it also  and  assisted organisations and people of good will in arranging travels of sick persons, mostly children, for operations and treatment abroad.  Through its foundation  Dar Serca (The Gift of Heart) it supported children's hospitals and other foundations, and for a few year it supported  Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (The Grand Band of Christmas Help).

The audience of cultural events often saw LOT logo among sponsors of prestigious artistic events, including numerous concerts of classical and jazz music. 

We supported Polish theaters as well as many artistic and trans-cultural events. We sponsored art galleries as well as cultural organisations, well known and merited for Polish culture, acting as a patron of their activities. Our fair partners included among others the National Museum of Cracow, Warsaw and Poznań Philharmonic Societies, the Museum of Poster, Cracow Opera, Warsaw Zachęta art gallery, the Grand Theatre, the National Opera and the National Theatre. 

LOT is a unique company, representing Poland abroad.  We have offices in many European capitals, and our aircraft with the stork logo on the tail land at the majority of European airports.  For this reason, LOT has often been named "the Ambassador of Poland". This title is also an obligation, and for this reason we even more appreciate the fact that the Przekrój weekly awarded LOT with the title of the Cultural Company of the Year for its sponsoring activities in the area of high culture. 

Due to its current difficult situation and the corrective programme under way at   LOT, the Managing Board of the company passed a resolution on suspending all sponsoring activities planned for  2009/ 2010.
