Diplomatic Cargo Shipments (DIP)
Although Diplomatic Cargo Shipments are considered special shipments, there are no additional rules regarding their carriage. If there isn't any agreement between an airline and handling agent, special cargo shipments rules are used. Additionally, there are local regulations:
- when its declared value is more than 1000 USD per kilo, the shipment is considered valuable
- it should be written "Diplomatic Cargo" (DIP) in shipment's documents
- the package should be very well packed
- it is possible to deliver/pick up the package by a sender/receiver straight to/from a plane
- it is possible to accept or deliver DIP shipments over scheduled times of service
- when DIP shipments are stored in a warehouse, they should be kept in separate rooms with secured access
