LOT Polish Airlines continue negotiations with flight operator Jet Air. The issue of domestic flights remains open. Last week, LOT announced that the contract with Jet Air under which Jetstreams 32 serviced flights between Katowice, Bydgoszcz, Łódź and Zielona Góra with Warsaw was to expire on October 29th this year.
„Under binding regulations, we are obliged to notify passengers on the changes in 14 days before the flight. Regrettably, we were unable to reach agreement with Jet Air by October 11th, in spite of continued negotiations,” said Piotr Siennicki, President of the Managing Board of LOT.
LOT intended to maintain local air links which are of key importance for local communities, added he. „Talks with Jet Air are under way and we hope to reach a mutually satisfactory compromise,” Siennicki explained.
Irrespective of negotiations with Jet Air, LOT has been working on re-configuring domestic air links network, to take into account the potential of regional airports.
