Basic capital of the Company is PLN 447 673 700 divided into 4 476 737 shares at 100 PLN each.
Until November 1999, 100% of shares in the Company capital were owned by the State Treasury. In the course of the privatisation process, a part of the shares in the Polish national carrier were purchased on November 18th, 1999 by SAirLines B.V., a member of SAirGroup. On October 30th, 2001 the Council of Ministers decided to increase basic capital of PLL LOT SA. The new issue of shares was taken over in whole by the State Treasury, which became a 67.97% owner of shares in the company; 25.1% of shares are held by the receiver in bankruptcy SAirLines B.V. and the employees own the remaining 6.93 %.
