Kiliński’s Saber - 8th Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2008



The Marriott Hotel’s ballroom will host the eighth wheelchair fencing World Cup, Kiliński’s Saber, July 4-6. This year edition of a tournament has a special character. It is the last and most important opportunity trial for the best World disabled fencers before they departure to World Paraolympic Games in Beijing.

American R&B, soul, and jazz singer and songwriter Jill Scott gives a concert July 9 in the Kongresowa Hall of Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science. Together with Erykah Badu and Angie Stone, Jill Scott is considered one of the three most important singers of soul and R&B music in the world.

Dino Saluzzi Group - 14th International Jazz in the Old Town Festival



Warsaw's Jazz in the Old Town is one of the biggest and most popular jazz festivals in Poland. Concerts are held each Saturday in July and August, drawing 3,000 to 4,000 music fans-a total of 50,000 or so throughout the season. This annual festival is a hallmark of Warsaw and Poland. It has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of prestigious and popular music events in the country. It features music premieres and top performers from various trends in jazz, such as swing, mainstream, Latin, world, fusion and modern jazz. This year's festival will feature many international jazz stars.

The Phantom of the Opera



Paris in the year 1911. On the stage of the Opera Populaire, set pieces from the theatre are being auctioned off. The old Raoul, Viscount de Chagny, is buying a monkey music box. Lot number 666 is a chandelier, which many years earlier caused the famous tragedy connected with the mystery of the Phantom of the Opera. The lit chandelier returns to its old place in the rafters of the old theatre(Overture)...
