Management Board Member, Chief Operations Officer
Ewa Kołowiecka, currently (to 31 December 2013) the director of the Office of Management of Continued Airworthiness at LOT since July 2013, has been associated with the aviation industry since 1996. Her career began with the specialised positions of Technical Supervisor, Technical Director, Vice President of Operations and Technology, and President of Poland's first private airline, White Eagle Aviation. She was also the first in Poland to create an independent technical maintenance organisation, serving the aircraft of many airlines, such as EasyJet, Air Finland, Ryanair, Sky Europe, Fischer, and Travel Service. She has experience
working in the international environment; in 1999‒2003 she served as a permanent member of TAM (TUI Airline Management) building strategy and unifying procedures and fleet maintenance for the TUI group of five airlines.
She also participated in start-up projects: among others, the construction of Lublin Airport, as Advisor to the Board, and the introduction of a third independent ground handling agent at Okęcie Airport (Baltic Ground Services) as a Member of the Board. In the course of her career she has undergone a great deal of training in the areas of quality, aviation technology and air operations, conducted by, among others, the British Standard Edition Institiute, CSA, Lufthansa, and JAA.
In October 2012, following a competition conducted by a committee of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy, she was selected as the best candidate, along with Piotr Ołowski, for the position of President of the Civil Aviation Authority.
