International travel

• The fare to be paid covers the cost of transporting passenger from the airport at the actual place of departure to the airport at the actual final destination. It is calculated in accordance with the tariff which is applicable on the day you book your ticket for the flight dates and itinerary shown on your ticket.
• If you alter your route, this may have an impact on the fare you pay. The fare is recalculated on the basis of the actual route taken and, if applicable, the difference subsequently charged.
• Your fare does not include ground transport between airports or between airports and city centers.

Taxes, fees and charges

Applicable taxes, fees and charges imposed by government or other authority, or by the operator of an airport, shall be payable by you. At the time you purchase your Ticket, you will be advised of taxes, fees and charges not included in the fare, most of which will normally be shown separately on the ticket.

Unaccompanied minors

The air fare for children up to 12 years of age is determined by the rules of the tariffs which apply. For exact information on prices please contact LOT Call Center or your local LOT Ticket Office or your travel agent.

Supervision charges if your children travel alone

Exceptions

For siblings travelling together, only one supervision charge is levied.

Important:

Young people aged from 12 to 17 may travel alone. Upon a special request from parents or guardians, such passengers may travel under supervision of a member of flight crew. Assistance will be arranged in the same way as for children aged from 5 to 12. The charge are the same as for children aged from 5 – 12.

Traveling with Pets

Animals are not included in the baggage allowance, and are counted as excess baggage. Only dog, cats and ferrets can be transported on board. Maximum weight with container is 8 kg. Please be aware that the number of pets carried on board is limited. For more details please check

Guide dogs and other service dogs

Guide dogs – seeing-eye/ hearing, assisting and emotional support dogs are accepted free of charge in the passenger cabin when accompanying a passenger with a disability. Weight and size limitation do not apply and the animal need not be caged. Please remember to notify us of your guide dog 48 hours before departure time. For more details see link

A child under 2 years of age allowed a 90% fare discount (without the right to a second seat) is eligible for transport of baggage up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds).

Flights to/from the USA/Canada – baggage allowance

A child under 2 years of age allowed a 90% fare discount (without the right to a separate seat) is eligible for transport of 1 piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 23 kilograms (50 pounds) and overall dimension of 158 cm (62 inches).
The weight of registered baggage on domestic flights cannot exceed 20 kilograms.

A child under 2 years of age is eligible for transport of 1 piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 5 kilograms.

IMPORTANT! The carrier may refuse to accept registered baggage if it is not packed in a manner that warrants safe transport despite the exercise of normal care in handling the baggage. LOT Polish Airlines recommends that baggage should be clearly marked by an address tag. The carrier is not liable for any fragile and perishable goods carried in the baggage, or for money, jewelry, and other valuables, documents, commercial samples, etc. Such items are carried at the passenger's sole risk and responsibility. In international traffic, the carrier's liability for damage to registered baggage is limited to USD 20 per kilogram.

Non-registered baggage carried on board

In addition to the registered baggage limit, the passenger is entitled to carry cabin baggage under his or her custody. 

• small handbag;
• coat, cloak or blanket;
• umbrella or walking stick;
• camera or binoculars;
• a pair of crutches or a fully collapsible wheelchair (if necessary during the journey);
• baby food and collapsible pram/pushchair (if necessary during the journey).

Charges for excess baggage for flights to/from Europe and the Middle East and Vietnam – weight concept

Baggage that exceeds permitted limits is subject to an additional charge. Its amount depends on the route and exceeded specifications. Excess charge is collected at check-in at the applicable rate.

Sport equipment

Sport equipment (e.g. bicycle) is not included in the free baggage allowance. This service must be paid at the airport on departure date in accordance with the carriage of baggage provisions for this day (General Conditions of Carriage of Passengers and Baggage applied by LOT Polish Airlines issued pursuant to the Article 9 pts. 9.6)

In the weight-determined system, in the Business Class, the registered baggage limit is 32 kilograms, and in Economy Class 23 kilograms.

Reservation Cancellations/ Changes Fee

In case of ticket refund/change (if possible) in addition to the fees additionally service fee* is charged. * service fee level depends on point of sale. Change flight /or travel date is only possible under the applied tariffs and availability.

Miles & More: Taxes, surcharges and service charges

All additional costs such as taxes (e.g. airport taxes, security fees), surcharges (e.g. fuel surcharge, insurance surcharges) and service charges (e.g. rebooking fees) associated with the issue or use of an award shall be borne by the member and may be charged to the member’s credit card. Information on the amount of taxes, surcharges and any service charges may be obtained from the Miles & More Call Center .

Miles & More: Award reservations service fee (per passenger)

Miles & More: Award reservation change/ cancel

• A charge of 50 EUR or 70 CHF/ USD 60 /200PLN is payable for rebooking or cancelling a flight award (excluding Fly Smart and mileage bargain tickets). This amount may vary or be waived for certain flight awards. Only the date and time of a booking can be changed. It is not possible to change routes.
• The cancellation fee will only be charged if miles are refunded. In cases where only fees and taxes are to be refunded, the customer does not have to pay the cancellation fee.
• No any other fees for award ticket
• Up to 3 years after ticket issue:
  • Passenger gets back his miles.
  • Passenger gets back the taxes and fees.
  • Passenger has to pay the cancellation-fee as above (because miles are refunded).
• Refund of unused Fly Smart and Mileage Bargain Tickets
  • Passenger gets back no miles.
  • Passenger gets back the taxes and fees (except the YQ fuel surcharge
  • Passenger doesn’t have to pay the cancellation fee (because miles are not refunded).
