Transfer from Athens Airport

Bus transfer to the airport
Three public bus lines E94, E95 and E96 exclusively serve the airport. They connect the airport with Athens and Piraeus. The price of a single regular ticket is 3.20 Euros and reduced is for 1.60 Euros. The ticket is valid for one trip from the airport or to the airport and on an unlimited number of journeys by bus, metro, tram and trolley bus to the end of the day. Two express bus routes serve the airport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Line E95 connects the airport to Syntagma Square in central Athens. It runs every 25-35 minutes.
Line E96 connects the airport with the Karaiskaki Square near Piraeus port and runs every 20-40 minutes. The third line E94 runs between the airport and the subway stop Ethniki Amyna from 6 am to 23:20 about every 15-30 minutes.
Railway and Metro
The airport can be reached directly by subway line number 3. This is the fastest and most reliable way of communication between the airport and Athens, unless of course the staff do not strike. The first stop is right next to the airport. The way is very well-marked. Trains run every 40 minutes. By this line we get to Syntagma station (connection to metro line 1) and the final stop is Monastiraki (connection to metro line 2 ). Journey time from Monastiraki to the Airport is about 45 minutes and costs 6 Euros for an adult. It is worth to check if there are any discounts available. Tickets can be easily purchased from vending machines at stations.

Taxis and cars
Passengers who arrive at the airport by taxi, can unload their luggage in the departure area. Passengers who leave the airport, are kindly requested to use the taxi stand at the door number 3 on the arrivals level. It is also recommended to use only registered taxi companies and establish the price of the course before the journey. Six-highway Attiki Odos, which is connected with the ring road of the city of Athens, provides access to the airport. A non-paid ride to the airport is possible by using the Lavriou avenue or other major roads.
Coming from the southern regions of Athens and Piraeus, you can easily get to the airport, avoiding the road tolls along, using Possidonos Avenue, Vouliagmenis, further Varis-Koropiou avenue, and finally using the Attiki Odos motorway, connected at the airport. Car rental services are provided by six different companies.
