Barcelona–El Prat Airport is located about twelve kilometers in south / west direction from Barcelona city center which along with cheap air tickets to Barcelona makes for a perfect weekend trip destination with friends. There are lots of easy and quite fast possibilities of transfer to the Barcelona city center. Starting from public transportation we have metro, buses and trains.
First there is metro L9 Sud line with Aeroport T2 and Aeroport T1 that stops in several places in the city. Next there are many busses that stops in Barcelona city center as well as nearby cities like Tarragona, Reus, Vilanova, Balaguer, Girona or Roses. With car rentals found at the airport or own car left on airport parking we can use C32 and C32 roads to get to the Barcelona. Taxi stops can be found by the terminals one and two. Trip duration depends on the traffic in the city.
Public transportation options include subway connecting airport terminals with Barcelona city subway system. Next there are buses. Fastest option will be Areo Bus lines but there are also traditional Bus services. Last option for public transport to Barcelona are trains with station located couple of minutes by foot from the terminals.

The Barcelona Airport Hotel is located very conveniently around fiveteen minutes from the Barcelona city center and five minutes from the Barcelona–El Prat Airport. We can use shuttle services offered all year for free from and to the airport and during spring and summer months to Barcelona city.

Accommodation in Barcelona city
When planning the trip to Barcelona weather it is a short weekend travel or longer holidays stay we should take care of our accommodation at least few months before we arrive. Localization close to the metro station will be a good idea. On the other hand it’s not that important to find place in the middle of the city center since all tourists attractions are located in some distance from each other and sightseeing by foot is almost impossible.
