Well known is also sushi – specially made rice with various raw fish, seaweed and additions made of fresh or cooked vegetables, shiitake mushrooms and other ingredients. One of the most delicious things in Japan must also be the kobe beef made of Wagyu cattle and renowned for its tenderness and flavour.
Most known drink in Japan is delicious tea and intensive sake, strong rice wine. Well known are also Japanese beers like Kirin, Asahi, Sapporo or Ebisu.
Various martial arts that came to Japan along with Buddhism from China are now practiced by many. Most known martial sports are kendo - bamboo swords fighting, kyūdō - archery, judo, jujutsu, karate and sumo – national sport. There are many more types of martial arts and their variations that are taught in numerous schools. Children are being send to such schools to learn martial arts in very young age and for many years they master chosen discipline to perfection.
