In 2006 there were new terminal opened. It can handle 1 million passengers per year. Recently the airport was fully modernized.
How to reach the airport
If you are a car owner there is a convenient national road no. 6 leading to the airport. Approximate time to reach Szczecin city center is 45-50 minutes. The airport offers two car parks. The first Red parking enables to stop the car for 10 minutes without any charge, first hour cost 7 PLN and each additional hour will cost 2 PLN. The first day is 53 PLN, and each additional is 30 PLN per day. The green parking is located about 50 meters from the passenger terminal. It has 250 parking spaces. The first 10 minutes is free, one hour costs to 5 PLN, up to 2 hours - 8 PLN and up to 3 hours 9 PLN. A week stopover will cost 89 PLN.
It is also possible to reach the airport by a public transport. There is a shuttle bus between the airport and the city center. For LOT Polish Airlines passengers there is a special bus which leaves 80 minutes before take-off time and 15 minutes after landing. In 2013 there was opened a railway station with the stop at the airport. There are trains running between Szczecin and the airport. There are also taxi ranks at the airport. Approximate cost of travel to the center of Szczecin is about 100 - 150 PLN.
