Format of SSR services

SSR chart

The table contains a list of service codes offered LOT Polish Airlines. The services are confirmed automatically by the system or by the Space Control Department. All paid services are non-refundable.

Some services are verified by the Space Control even if they were automatically confirmed.

The service may be refused in individual cases, i.e. exceeded dimensions, incorrect or incomplete information,  service limit on the flight and others.

Starting from the 6th of July 2021 following codes will no longer be used: EXBB, XBBG, XBGB. 

* In case of domestic flights the VAT (XX) must be added (8%).

Sports equipment dimensions should be given in cm and in the order: length, width and height. No size can exceed 200 cm. Sports equipment should be assembled to the smallest possible dimensions.

The carriage of weapons and ammunition must be reported no later than 48 hours before departure.

It is allowed to transport hunting and sports weapons upon presentation of all necessary permits and licenses. 

Example of entry:

It is allowed to transport ammunition up to 5 kg per person. Then, additional information should be included in the SSR CKIN element:

Archery equipment, securely packed, may only be carried as checked baggage. Such baggage is included in the checked baggage allowance.

Wheelchairs

 The airport assistance service (WCHR / WCHS / WCHC) should be reported no later than 12 hours before departure.

If the passenger wants to take his own wheelchair, please enter the request into the booking system no later than 24 hours before departure.

We accept only wcheelchairs with removable battery and meeting the requirements set out in Table 2.3.A IATA DGR. Each passenger can take up to two wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

LO offers the following services:

Airport assistance:

WCHR - Wheelchair assistance service at the airport (to the gate). The passenger is able to move up the stairs independently.

WCHS - Wheelchair assistance service at the airport (to boarding the plane). The passenger is not able to move up the stairs by himself.

WCHC - Wheelchair assistance service at the airport (to the seat in the aircraft). Assistance for passengers who are completely unable to move independently.

Assitance on board:

WCOB – a wheelchair on board available on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The intention of the WCOB service is to make it easier for passengers with reduced mobility to move between their seat and toilet facilities. Passengers do not use the on-board trolley alone, but through the assistance of the cabin crew. The service should be ordered at least 48 hours before departure.

Carriage of wheelchairs or other mobility aids:

WCMP – carriage of manually powered wheelchair.

WCBD – transportation of an electric wheelchair powered by a dry battery. LO consent required for transport. The battery Wh rating must not exceed 160 WH. Details in the table below.

WCBW – transportation of an electric wheelchair powered by a wet battery. LO consent required for transport. The battery Wh rating must not exceed 160 WH. Details in the table below.

To convert Amp-hours (Ah) to Watt-houres multiply Amp-houres by Voltage -> Wh = Ah * V

SSR YPTA – Young passenger travelling alone. SSR code should be used in case of:

• Passenger over 12 years old and under 18 years old,
• Travelling alone without any adult passenger (over 18 years old),
• Travelling without assist for unaccompanied minor (without SSR UMNR).

SSR code YPTA is used only as additional information for Lot Polish Airlines and enables verification of such passengers on flights in case of irregularities. Assistance should be booked as UMNR service.

General information

Seat selection is only possible for confirmed travel segments up to 36 hours before the scheduled departure time. Reservations of specific seats can be made through the seat map or by entering the appropriate commands.

In the case of group bookings, seat selection is possible after entering the names of passengers. Seat assignment is a paid service with the following exceptions:

• LOT Business Class passengers,
• Miles&More Gold/HON card owners,
• Passengers travelling in X or G booking class,
• Minors travelling with UMNR service (special sector in the aircraft),
• Passengers travelling with Infant in one PNR, who use BSCT service,
• Passengers from Group PNR.

Special meal

If none of the classified categories of meals meets the requirements of the passenger, enter the meal of the SPML type specifying up to two allergens from the list, to be excluded from the meal. The SPML code can only be used in very limited cases, i.e. strict diet for medical reasons (e.g. allergy to fish and eggs).

It is the Agent's responsibility to inform the passenger prior to departure of the confirmed or denied special meal request. In the event of refusing a meal, first check that the time 24 hours before departure has been respected. If so, please re-enter your SPML special meal request.

The SPML special meal on LO flights is a meal that excludes up to two allergens. It is not possible to confirm a meal of more than two allergies.
