The fastest way to get from the airport to Tirana is by taxi. A taxi ride to the city centre costs around € 20 and takes 20-25 minutes, provided that the traffic is not heavy. When in front of the terminal, look for yellow cabs with the logo of Auto Holiday Albania, a licensed operator recommended by the airport. Passengers who prefer public transport can get to Tirana by bus. Departures are every hour on the hour between 8.00 and 24.00. It is also possible to take a bus to Durres and Fier. At the Tirana Airport, there are 12 shops, including a newspaper kiosk, a bookshop and a sweet shop in the check-in zone, and duty free shops in the departures zones.
