How can I change the name and last name on my ticket?

Once the ticket is purchased, changing the passenger in the reservation is not possible. In the cases listed below, our Contact Center can make corrections to the entered data:

A typo correction in the first name or surname is allowed when it is:

A change of up to 3 letters, provided it is a mistake that does not change the meaning of the entire first name or surname.

A change of more than 3 letters when the pronunciation of the surname is changed, and the error results from a lack of knowledge of diacritical marks or sounds specific to a given language or country. E.g., Sabanowic instead of Szabanowicz.

Additionally, it is clear from the identity document provided by the passenger that it is the same person and not a completely different passenger.
Correction of an error in the first name or surname is allowed when the mistake is caused by:

Using a diminutive in the reservation, e.g., Julka instead of Julia; Ania instead of Anna.

Swapping the first name and surname, e.g., Jan/Kowalski instead of Kowalski/Jan.

System reservation cutting off the surname, e.g., Nieczypor instead of Nieczyporowski.

Lack of a part of the surname or second name, e.g., Kowalski/Jan instead of Kowalski/Jan Piotr.

Incorrect gender/type of passenger designation, e.g., Mr instead of Mrs.

Additionally, it is clear from the identity document provided by the passenger that it is the same person and not a completely different passenger.
Changing personal data is allowed only when it is:

Change of first name and/or surname due to a change in civil or legal status that occurred after the ticket purchase, e.g., marriage, divorce, adoption, gender change.

Requires the airline to present additional documents confirming the actual state.

If you need to make changes to your reservation for one of the reasons listed above, be sure to contact our Contact Center (opens in a new tab) before departure. Our employees will verify if the change is possible and secure the reservation so that you can travel without any disruptions. If the change is possible, a transaction fee will be charged for modifying your ticket. Check the amount of any additional fees.

If the ticket was issued by LOT (the ticket number begins with 080) and the journey includes flights operated by other airlines, correcting the passenger details may require the ticket to be reissued. In this case, the minimum charge is the transaction fee, and additional costs may apply depending on the fare conditions and any differences in taxes and fees. If the ticket number does not begin with 080, LOT cannot correct the passenger details. Please contact the airline that issued the ticket.
