strong traditions and accelerated development.

Among the attractions in South Korea we recommend:

1. Gyeongbokgung Palace

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of five royal palaces in Seoul. Five palaces remain from the Joseon Dynasty, letting visitors get a glimpse of royal life as it used to be.

2. Seoraksan

The mountain was named Seorak ('Seol' meaning 'snow' and 'Ak' meaning 'big mountain') because the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white and it is the mountain that Koreans love most. Outer Seoraksan has fantastic cliffs and big fountains, while the beautiful inner Seoraksan exhibits the highest level of splendor and sensation by displaying various forms and colors that nature can offer during the four seasons.

3. Boseong Green Tea Plantation

Boseong is known for the splendid views of the green tea fields and the regions culinary delights. Spanning over a large scale of land filled with green tea, the tea plantation offers a relaxing ambience as well as the refreshing taste and scent of green tea.

4. DMZ

The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a buffer zone, which was established on July 27, 1953 when the Armistice Agreement was signed during the Korean War. On either side of the truce line is a 2km-wide stretch of land which has been protected from human disturbance for about 6 decades and has become a haven for wildlife.

5. Jeju island

Jeju is a volcanic island, that was created by volcanic activity of Hallasan Mountain. The whole island was designated as a special tourist zone, and wherever tourists go, they can look upon beautiful sceneries. On June 27, 2007, UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee listed Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes as a World Natural Heritage.
