Milan's attractions are scattered all around town, which is why you are advised to use public transportation, particularly the subway and trams. Milan subway network comprises three lines, it is very well developed and fast, yet if you are covering a short route, you may want to hop on a bus or a tram instead. Especially recommended are the characteristic old orange ones. Ticket prices do not exceed EUR 2. Once the ticket has been validated, it may be used at any means of public transport for the following 90 minutes.

You may also rent one of the city's 4,000 rental bikes or scooters. If you decide to go on a trip out of town, you ought to remember that in Italy train tickets are only valid for 3 months after the date of purchase, and before getting on the train, you should validate it and alight within 6 hours. PLL LOT flight to Milan arrive at Terminal 1B of Milan Malpensa airport. You will reach it by Malpensa Express rail departing from Milano Cadorna station, or by Malpensa Shuttle Bus, as well as by Autostradale. The tickets cost approximately EUR 6. Obviously, the airport, like many other destinations, is also accessible from Milano Stazione Centrale. You may also decide to take a taxi cab. If so, you are looking at spending approximately EUR 70 on the trip.
