Kraków is one of the oldest cities in Poland and the former capital of the country. It is situated at the Vistula River in the south of Poland. It is known for many impressing architectural monuments, art museums, galleries, atmospheric cafes and restaurants. Nearly 800 thousand of people live there, although this number is arbitrary. Kraków is an important business centre and the largest outsourcing centre in Poland.

The most important Polish universities, including Jagiellonian University, the oldest university in Poland founded in 1364 and the second university in Central Europe, are located there.

This city shrouded in legends, where the time passes more slowly and the air is filled with a dose of romanticism, is a Polish Mecca of artists. The most popular districts are the Old Town, Kazimierz and Kleparz. In recent years Podgórze and Zabłocie have gained more and more significance.

Large part of the life of Kraków is going on in cellars where you can find the majority of atmospheric clubs and pubs. The residents of Kraków spend a lot of their leisure time along the Vistula River. In the summer you can go for city sightseeing by a Kraków Water Tram (tourist cruises), drink coffee on one of many barges or lay down on a sunbed on the beach.
