It is known for many impressing architectural monuments, art museums, galleries, atmospheric cafes and restaurants. Nearly 800 thousand of people live there, although this number is arbitrary. Kraków is an important business centre and the largest outsourcing centre in Poland.

The most important Polish universities, including Jagiellonian University, the oldest university in Poland founded in 1364 and the second university in Central Europe, are located there.

This city shrouded in legends, where the time passes more slowly and the air is filled with a dose of romanticism, is a Polish Mecca of artists. The most popular districts are the Old Town, Kazimierz and Kleparz. In recent years Podgórze and Zabłocie have gained more and more significance.
