Cancelled flights - how to rebook or refund a ticket?

If we have sent you a notification about disruptions to your journey, you can either modify your booking yourself or accept the alternative we offer. To change your reservation, use the link provided in the notification or choose from other available booking options.

Ticket change options

If you don't have any plans for your next trip yet, take your time. You can postpone your trip within the validity of your ticket*.

The ticket can be changed without any additional cost within +/- 7 days since the original travel date. You do not pay the fare difference. If there are no flights available on schedule within +/- 7 days, they are counted from the first available scheduled flight.

If you choose a date over 7 days and the originally purchased fare is not available, you will have to pay the difference according to the currently available fare.

Only one free-of-charge change is possible.

If your ticket was purchased through a travel agency, you can also change your departure date the same way.

A ticket for a cancelled flight can also be exchanged for a flight on a different route, provided that the terms of the ticket you have purchased allow such a change.

In the case of a change of route and the resulting difference in price of the new ticket, you will have to pay the difference in price.

If none of the above options is satisfactory for you, you can apply for a refund of your ticket. Any refunds may be granted only in accordance with the applicable fare conditions of the original ticket. In case of cancelled flight, full refund of unused ticket is possible. A refund of the partially used ticket will be possible only for the travel sections that have not been travelled.

You can return your ticket yourself by completing the Ticket Refund form.

Please note that the cancelled ticket remains valid for one year from the date of purchase. You can take your time before you choose the change your departure date.

Cancelled flights to/from the USA

If your flight has been cancelled, and you have not been offered an alternative flight at a similar time, please contact our passenger service team, who will assist in finding the best solution.

If you purchased your ticket directly through our channels (lot.com, LOT mobile app, LOT Contact Center, or LOT offices) and do not contact us, we will automatically refund you for the remaining part of your journey.

The refund process will begin 2 days after the original flight date, and you will receive the funds within the following 7 calendar days. Once the refund process has started, it will no longer be possible to reinstate the reservation.
