In Poland, the largest Christmas markets are organized in Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw.

Christmas markets are an inseparable element of the German culture. Currently the Germans organize about 150 Christmas markets yearly. Every year, the biggest – in Hamburg, Nuremberg or Berlin – attract locals and tourists from around the world. Christmas markets in Germany are perfect place to know local tradition and culture. You can find there traditional handicrafts and local delicacies. At the Christmas market you may also listen to live music and see artists' performances.

Pre-Christmas Vienna turns into a fairy-tale land of wooden houses and magical carousels.
There are several Christmas markets in the city, however the most popular of them is the one located next to the Town Hall. Warsaw (around the Old Town), Gdańsk (Plac Węglowy), Wrocław (Rynek) and Kraków (Main Square).
Christmas market in Krakow
The oldest and the best known is the Christmas market in Krakow, which takes place in the magical scenery of the Main Square. Krakow Christmas Market, because this is the official name of the Fair, have been appreciated also abroad. In 2008, The Times magazine called the Krakow Christmas Market as one of the most beautiful in Europe.
In 2016, a similar award was given by CNN. What makes the Krakow Christmas Market stand out is the snowy aura, but also local delicacies, such as Galician mulled wine, grilled oscypek or bread with lard, as well as original wool products, very popular in this region.
Christmas market in Wroclaw
The Wroclaw Christmas Market is one of the leaders of this type of markets in Poland.
The entrance to the market is set by a specially prepared gate from the side of Świdnicka street, crossing of which takes us to the winter, fairy-tale land. In addition to stalls with artistic handicrafts, jewelry or gifts, in Wroclaw, there are plenty of stands, where you can try the cuisine of the Lower Silesia region with famous Wroclaw mulled wine, but also products and delicacies from other parts of Europe: Italy, France, Turkey or Hungary.
Christmas market in Gdansk
Gdansk Christmas Market at Targ Węglowy every year fills with colorful stalls with Christmas decorations and treats, but also a Venetian carousel with horses, Enchanted Karet, Angel Wheel or ice rink.
On Gdańsk stalls you can find Christmas decorations, artistic products and aromatic specialties.
Christmas market in Warsaw
Every year in Warsaw are a few Christmas markets, but the official one and also most popular and beautiful is the Christmas market in the Old Town in Warsaw. Among fragrant Christmas trees and aromas of hot beverages you can taste traditional meat products, but also various kinds of cakes and cookies.
There are also stalls of Polish brands with products that are not available on a daily basis.
