First flight June 14th 2019

Beirut is an original mix of many cultures, traditions, styles and religions. The capital of Lebanon is an eclectic city with an unusual view of churches having common walls with mosques, and not only.

The turbulent history of the city is reflected in its appearance. At first glance, it may seem that Beirut is a construction site on which monuments slowly give way to modern buildings. Skyscrapers of glass and steel are interwoven with exotic plants and ruins - monuments to the brutal past. Today, the city is rebuilding its former splendor and tempting with picturesque views, sandy beaches and rich flavors.

Lebanese cuisine combines strong Mediterranean influences with various mezzes - appetizers. The most popular of these is hummus prepared from chickpeas, sesame paste, garlic and yogurt. The love of Lebanese for vegetables makes Lebanon a paradise for vegetarians, but meat fans will also find something for themselves. A lamb is very popular and local chefs serve it in a variety of ways. You can taste the specialties of Lebanese cuisine in many restaurants, which due to the nightlife of the residents are open until late.

Beirut is also a trading and cultural pearl of the Middle East. When shopping, it is worth visiting the Hamra district, which is a dynamic commercial center of the city. You can find both luxury boutiques and traditional markets there. In the small pubs in this area you can meet artists and writers drinking aromatic coffee with cardamom.
