  • Flight info

    • 1 Where can I find current departure and arrival times?
      All information regarding the arrival and departure times can be found in the "Flight Status" tab.
    • 2 What type of aircraft will operate my flight?

      All information regarding the aircraft type can be found in the "Flight Status" tab.

    • 3 Where can I find the flight number?

      Flight number can be found in the electronic confirmation, which you received after the purchase of your ticket. The flight number follows the two-letter airline code "LO" (e.g. LO280).

    • 4 Which terminal does my flight depart from?

      You can find the information about the terminal of arrival or departure in a number of ways. Firstly, if you are checking in for your flight through www.lot.com, the information about the terminal will be specified on the boarding card (go to the "Check-in" tab). Secondly, you can contact LOT Contact Centre.

    • 5 Where can I check the status of my flight?

      All information regarding your flight can be found in the "Flight Status" tab.

  • Health

    • 1 Where can I find a form, necessary for notifying special needs related to a health condition?

      Persons, whose state of health requires special assistance during their journey, need to submit an appropriate medical form (MEDIF). If the state of your health requires special services, please report that at least 72 hours prior to departure - so we can provide you with appropriate care. In cases of tickets purchased through tourist agencies or travel agencies, the form needs to be sent to the issuer of your ticket (i.e. travel agent).     • 2 Can I order a meal for allergy sufferer?

      You can order a meal for allergy sufferers, but only on long-haul flights (USA, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore). It can be ordered via LOT Contact Centre or in LOT Offices.

    • 3 Can I fly with a cast?

      Travelling with a cast is possible, but only in certain cases. If you are considering such travel, please contact LOT Contact Centre prior to purchasing your ticket.

    • 4 What are the guideliness regarding the travels of pregnant women?

      Pregnant women may travel without any additional certificates until the 32nd week of pregnancy. From the 33rd week a medical certificate from a doctor is required - you can find the appropriate fom here.

    • 5 Can I carry my medicines, which need to be stored in a refrigerator onboard of the plane?

      If you are carrying medicines, which need to be stored in a refrigerator, please fill in the MEDIF form and contact LOT Contact Centre (no later than 72 hours prior to departure). In cases of tickets purchased through tourist agencies, or travel agencies, the form needs to be sent to the issuer of your ticket (i.e. travel agent).

    • 6 I am a diabetic, do I need to report this before the flight?

      Diabetics, who need injections during the flight and use PEN products, do not need any additional medical documentation. In all other cases please contact LOT Contact Centre.

  • Check-in

    • 1 How can I check-in for my flight?

      The easiest way is to check-in online. Go to our homepage at www.lot.com and choose "Check-in online". Then choose the country and the airport, on which you wish to check-in. 

    • 2 If I have a connecting flight, is it enough to check-in my baggage once, or do I have to check-it-in separately for each flight?

      If all of the flights on your journey are operated by LOT, your baggage will be registered once and will automatically be checked-in for the next segments of your trip. If the flights on your journey are operated by various carriers, please find out, how to proceed with the baggage and ask about the details at the check-in counter. // Exception: If you have a layover in the United States, you need to claim your baggage and check-it-in again at the first airport, where you arrive (when flying out of e.g. Warsaw).

    • 3 Can I check-in my baggage 24 hours before the departure?

      Check-in for flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines opens at least 36 hours before the scheduled time of departure from Warsaw to any LOT Polish Airlines' destination as well as from the below-listed airports: Stockholm (ARN), Copenhagen (CPH), Dusseldorf (DUS), Munich (MUC), Frankfurt (FRA), Geneva (GVA) and Vienna (VIE).

    • 4 When can I check-in online?

      You can check-in online earliest within 36 hours before the departure. Same rules apply for majority of airports. Below you will find a list of airports, where you cannot perform such check-in: Currently these airports are: Palanga, Ljubjlana, Split, Zadar, Kharkiv, Olsztyn-Szymanya, Groningen, Pula, Podgorica, Zagreb and Chisinau.

    • 5 Why can't I check-in for my flight?

      There can be a number of reasons why you cannot check-in for your flight. Firstly, it could be too soon for it - check-in opens 36h before the departure. Secondly, it could be that you made a mistake when introducing passenger's name (remember: surnames need to be submitted without Polish characters; with hyphenated surnames both elements need to be submitted together). Thirdly, it could be that in your reservation there are services, which disallow online check-in (e.g. wheelchair, travelling with a pet on board, travelling with an infant). Fourthly, online check-in is only possible for flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines. For code-share flights, check-in is possible directly at the airport or on the website of the carrier operating particular flight.

    • 6 Can I check-in at lot.com website, when travelling with another airline?

      If you are travelling with airline other than LOT Polish Airlines, you cannot check in on our website www.lot.com. In such event you can either check-in at the airport or contact the airline operating your flight.

    • 7 Can I check-in at lot.com website, when travelling on a code-share flight?

      For code-share flights, you can only check-in on the website of the carrier, who is the main operator of particular flight.

    • 8 What is LOT Automated Check-in System?

      We want to save your time before the departure and smoothen the check-in, therefore we are offering the possibility of LOT Automated Check-in. 36 hours before the scheduled departure, we will check you in automatically and your boarding card will be either be sent to your email address or your mobile phone.   • Pets

    • 1 How much does a carriage of pet cost?
      The fee for carriage of a pet is dependent on its size, weight and the type of flight. You can find all the details here.
    • 2 What documents are necessary for a carriage of pet?

      If you carry a pet take into consideration that: 1. the pet must have valid vaccination records (against rabies or distemper) and valid veterinary health certificates accomodating the regulations of the country of departure, country of arrival and all transit airports. In order to obtain detailed information please contact a veterinary or Chief Veterinary Office. 2. For flights within the EU a special passport (issued by a veterinary) with description of the animal's colour, breed and sex as well as the microchip's or tattoo's number, is required. 3. For flights to the United Kingdom, the carriage of animals is only possible by cargo. In order to obtain detailed information please contact our Cargo and Mail Office (under telephone number: +48 22 606 77 77).

    • 3 Which pets can be carried on board of LOT airplanes?

      On board of LOT airplanes it is possible to carry cats, dogs and ferrets. However, there are a few exceptions:
      1. For flights to/from Canada no ferrets are allowed on board.
      2. For flights to/from China, the pets require a 30-days long quarantine.
      3. Carriage of dogs to the United Kingdom is only possible by cargo.

    • 4 Where will my pet be during the flight?

      Only pets, which's total weight including the weight of the container, does not exceed 8kg are allowed on board. Larger animals can be carried under the deck or as cargo. All information regarding carriage of animals can be found here.

    • 5 What criteria should the pet container meet?

      The container, in which the animal is transported, must meet the following criteria:
      1. It has to be large enough to allow for the animal's freedom of movement so it can stand, turn around and lie down.
      2. It has to be clean, tight and securely-closed and its bottom has to be lined with absorbent material from the inside.
      3. It has to be labelled with a relevant sticker and appropriate instructions.
      4. It has to be equipped with a water and food dish.
      5. It has to be ventilated at least on three sides.
      6. It cannot have any wheels attached to it (if the wheels are preinstalled they need to be removed during the check-in).
      7. It has to be made of fiberglass, metal, rigid plastics, weld metal mesh, solid wood or plywood. 

    • 6 Can the animal's cage be made of soft materials?

      The animal's cage can be made of soft materials only if the animal is carried in the cabin. If the animal is carried in the baggage hold, the cage must be made of sturdy materials.

    • 7 Are there limits on carriage of pets?

      For your and other passengers’ comfort we can only take a limited number of pets in the cabin, so please make a reservation for your pet as soon as possible by telephone through LOT Contact Center. We recommend that you do so as soon as possible - preferably prior to the purchase of ticket and at least 48 hours prior to departure. Through Contact Centre you will also be able to confirm the possibility of carrying a pet on a given flight.

    • 8 Can a person with hearing / visual impairment travel with a guide dog?

      Guide dogs (for people with hearing / visual impairment) are accepted in the cabin free of charge when accompanying a passenger with disability. Weight and size limitation do not apply and the animal need not be caged. The dog should be on a leash, but does not need to wear a muzzle*. Remember however, that when travelling with a guide dog you need to have a muzzle with you. Travelling with a pet must be reported prior to the journey at LOT Contact Centre (preferably at least 48 hours before the departure). 

    • 9 I own a dog, which is an Emotional Support Animal - can I take it onboard?

      For flights to/from USA there is an option of transporting an ESEAN dog (emotional support animal) without any additional fees. If you wish to use this service, you need to have a relevant doctor's certificate, which will be verified at the airport. To obtain detailed information please contact a veterinary or Chief Veterinary Office. Travelling with a pet must be reported at LOT Contact Centre. LOT Polish Airlines only accept dogs as ESEAN.

  • Children

    • 1 Can I book a ticket for an infant at lot.com website?

      You can book a ticket for an infant at www.lot.com, but only given the simultaneous purchase of a ticket for an adult. In all other cases tickets for infants should to be purchased through LOT Contact Centre or in LOT Offices. More information regarding travelling with children can be found here.

    • 2 Can my child be seated in a car seat during the flight?

      Child can seat in a car seat during the flight, but only granted the approval of the cabin crew, and the car seat has appropriate certificates.
      In case of travel with infant with seat passenger should take his own car seat for a travel.

    • 3 Can I take food for an infant onboard?

      If you are travelling with an infant you can take food for your child. In such cases the restriction of liquid containers holding no more than 100ml does not apply. NOTE: Because you will be taking onboard greater amount of liquids you will go through a more restrictive security check at the airport.     • 4 How can I book a bassinet for a baby?

      Bassinet for babies, called "Baby Basket" can be ordered via LOT Contact Centre or in LOT Offices. This service is strictly limited and available exclusively on long-haul flights, operated by Boeings 787 "Dreamliner". Reservation of a bassinet is possible at least 24h prior to departure. NOTE: The child, which will be travelling in the bassinet, cannot weigh more than 10 kilograms and it's height cannot exceed 75 centimeters on the day of the journey.     • 5 Can I book a ticket for a child at lot.com website?

      Child - in airline's understanding - means a passenger under 12 years of age. You can book a ticket for a child at www.lot.com, but only given the simultaneous purchase of a ticket for an adult. In all other cases tickets for a child should to be purchased through LOT Contact Centre or in LOT Offices. More information regarding travelling with children can be found here.

    • 6 Can my child travel without guardians?

      Children may travel alone, but only if they are 12 years or older. Younger children may travel with the assistance of a stewardess*. NOTE: A child travelling alone with the assistance of a stewardess, requires a purchase of an additional (payable) service - "child assistance" (payable, so-called UNMR).

    • 7 How can I book assistance from a stewardess for my child?

      If you want  your child to travel with the assistance of a stewardess, you can purchase the "child assistance". If you wish to purchase the service please contact LOT Contact Centre, LOT Offices or selected travel agencies. NOTE: This service is not available at www.lot.com and its purchase is possible at least 24 hours prior to departure. We recommend that you purchase the assistance as soon as possible - the number of children travelling with the airline's assistance is limited.     • 8 Who is LOTEK?

    • 9 Can my older child be a guardian for the younger child?

      A passenger who is 16 years of age can be a guardian for a child under 12 years of age.

  • Baggage

    • 1 What is the baggage allowance for particular service class?

    • 2 What is the limit on the carry-on baggage?

    • 6 How to carry music equipment?

      You can take your music equipment with you as a carry-on baggage, but only given that it does not exceed the size and weight allowance for a carry-on baggage. If the size or weight of the music equipment exceeds these limits, you can check it in as a registered baggage in the baggage hold or purchase additional registered baggage, marked as SPEQ. Altenartively you can purchase an additional seat on the plane for your instrument. Purchase of such ticket is available at LOT Contact Centre.

    • 7 What is the maximum size and weight of the checked baggage?

      The checked baggage limit (including size and weight) depends on the service class and the length of the flight. More information here.

    • 8 Can I take an additional piece of baggage free of charge, if I am a member of the Miles&More program?

      If you are a member of the Miles&More program and have an appropriate status, you may take with you an additional piece of baggage free of chage. Click here, to ensure that your status entitles you to the free carriage of additional baggage.

    • 9 Can I take a stroller and a car seat for my child free of charge?

      If you are travelling with a child, as part of the free baggage, you may take with you a collapsible stroller or a baby seat/baby sling for the child.

    • 10 Can I take my wheelchair free of charge?

      If you use a wheelchair, you may add it to your booking whilst making your reservation at www.lot.com. If you already have a ticket, please contact LOT Contact Centre.

    • 11 How much does transport of sports equipment cost?

      The price of transporting sports equipment depends on its type. More information here.

    • 12 Can I take an additional piece of baggage free of charge, if I am a Star Alliance Gold Member?

      If you have a Star Alliance Gold status, you may take an additional piece of baggage free of charge.

    • 13 What else, except the carry-on baggage, can I take onboard?

      In addition to your carry-on baggage you can take onboard the following items: a lady purse, short umbrella, laptop, camera or a small video recorder, jacket, collapsible wheelchair, walking cane, set of crutches or a tadpole walker.

    • 14 Does my baggage allowance increase when upgraging the service class?

      If you are purchasing an upgrade to the higher service class, the baggage limit remains the same - the baggage limit of the original service class applies.

    • 15 Can I take sports equipment as part of the checked baggage?

      You may take sports equipment as part of the checked baggage. If it falls within the baggage limits, it will be taken free of charge, otherwise additional fees will be charged. If you are travelling with sports equipment, please contact LOT Contact Centre and provide the weight and size of the equipment.

      In case of purchase Economy Saver baggage you cannot take sports equipment as part of this baggage.

    • 16 Can I take two suitcases in the LOT Economy Saver (short-haul) tariff?
      If you are travelling in the LOT Economy Saver tariff on a short-haul flight and wish to take two suitcases (checked baggages), you need to purchase an additional service. First one will be charged as a Economy Saver additional baggage, second one as a additional baggae. More information here.
