Beijing Daxing Airport (PKX) is located in the south of Beijing, 46 km from Tian'anman Square and 26 km from Langfang center. You can get to the airport by train, bus and car - thanks to the fast railway and express roads, it will take several minutes to get from the center of Beijing. Currently, there is a plan to launch a metro line linking the city center with the airport terminal.
Initial airport capacity was estimated at 72 million passengers and 20 million tonnes of cargo and mail per year, but later Daxing airport will have 7 runways and serve over 100 million passengers a year.
The opening of the second Beijing airport puts the city in the forefront - together with the International Capital Airport, ports will serve nearly 170 million passengers a year up to 2025. The increase in air traffic is a response to the dynamically developing economy and growing population of China.

The design of the Beijing-Daxing airport was created as part of the cooperation between ADPI and Zaha Hadid Architects. The construction of this spacious airport terminal took 5 years and cost about 14 billion dollars.
