  • LARNACA RETURNS TO THE LOT POLISH AIRLINES' FLIGHT NETWORK. DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE ISLAND OF APHRODITE WILL BE LAUNCHED ON 28 OCTOBER

    Starting 16 July, LOT Polish Airlines tickets to Larnaca are available for purchase. LOT aircraft will be serving the Cyprus route 4 times per week in the winter season and 6 times a week in the summer. After flights to the French Lyon that were announced last week, Larnaca is another destination included in the carrier’s 2024-2028 expansion strategy.

  • LOT POLISH AIRLINES TO RECONNECT WARSAW WITH LYON

    LOT Polish Airlines to re-establish French Lyon into the regular flight network. The connection will be launched on September 30 and operated six days a week. Since the launch of the flights, LOT Polish Airlines will be the only carrier to offer passengers a direct connection from Warsaw Chopin Airport to the capital of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

  • LOT BUSINESS LOUNGE POLONEZ AT THE WARSAW CHOPIN AIRPORT WILL GET A BRAND NEW INTERIOR

    LOT Polish Airlines plans to expand the Business Lounge Polonez, located in the Schengen zone at the Warsaw Chopin Airport. Renovation works will begin in July, and the official opening is scheduled for December 2024. In the renovated version of the Business Lounge Polonez, guests will gain more space and a place to relax before their trip, and the interiors will be in line with the LOT brand identity, emphasizing Polish hospitality. This is another investment by the national carrier, following the construction of a business lounge at the Chicago O’Hare airport announced last year and the modernization of Boeing 787 Dreamliner cabins, which aims to improve the standard and comfort of services provided to passengers.

  • ROMANIA'S ART NOUVEAU GEM ON THE LOT POLISH AIRLINES' NETWORK. DIRECT CONNECTION LAUNCHED TO ORADEA

    LOT Polish Airlines launched direct flights to Oradea. The first flight departed from Warsaw on 3 June 2024. This is the third Romanian destination in LOT Polish Airlines' network after Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, and it is another destination for travel exploration in southeastern Europe from the carrier. According to LOT Polish Airlines' strategy for 2024-2028, the carrier plans to launch 20 new connections by 2028.

    The New Terminal One (NTO) is a state-of-the-art passenger terminal to be built at JFK International Airport in New York. The estimated cost of its construction is $9.5 billion. LOT Polish Airlines' presence at the NTO is the outcome of successful two-year long negotiations and a sign of recognition of the potential of Central and Eastern Europe's most important carrier.

  • LOT Polish Airlines have launched a new route to Uzbekistan. “Pearl of the Silk Route” is now available directly from Warsaw.

    The first scheduled LOT Polish Airlines flight to Tashkent took off on March 13th, 2024. This highly-anticipated route makes Uzbekistan – the magical world of the Orient with its history spanning nearly 2,700 years – more accessible to passengers travelling from Warsaw. Tashkent is another new destination in line with LOT Polish Airlines’ 2024-2028 strategy. By planning the expansion of the route network to include 20 new connections, the Polish carrier wants to be a partner for passengers both during their business trips and in terms of travel inspirations.

    LOT Polish Airlines (LOT), Polish national carrier, purchased Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from SkyNRG, a global leader in SAF. The purchase underscores the airline's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and minimizing the environmental impact of aviation. The SAF was delivered to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport's hydrant system under a Book and Claim arrangement and co-funded by LOT’s passengers.

    “It’s who travel with – from years” features a series of video interviews with people who once worked for LOT Polish Airlines and formed Poland’s most recognisable brand overseas. It makes a reference to the carrier’s latest campaign – “It’s who travel with”. In on-camera interviews, former LOT Polish Airlines employees share with the audience previously unknown stories from the history of LOT Polish Airlines, which will mark its 95th anniversary on 1 January. Małgorzata Nowotnik, featured in the next instalment of the “It’s who travel with – from years” series, who worked as a flight attendant for LOT Polish Airlines from 1971 to 1986, talked about, among other things, travelling back in the days when it was only available to a handful of people, unusual situations on board and the characteristics of the perfect flight attendant.

  • DREAMLINERS OF LOT POLISH AIRLINES WILL GET NEW INTERIOR DESIGN

    LOT Polish Airlines has announced a major upgrade of the cabins of its wide-body Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The retrofit will feature a new cabin design, replacement of seats in all classes, installation of a new in-flight entertainment system as well as the deployment of Internet connectivity. The new interiors will be the product of collaboration with brands such as RECARO Aircraft Seating, Safran Passenger Innovations, Viasat, and Tangerine. The new cabins of the Dreamliners are set to include a Polish touch. The LOT Economy Class seats will be manufactured at the RECARO Aircraft Seating factory in Poland.

  • LOT POLISH AIRLINES BUSINESS LOUNGE AT CHICAGO O'HARE AIRPORT WILL BE UP AND RUNNING AS EARLY AS 2024

    LOT Polish Airlines has announced the construction of North America’s first business lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. For the Polish carrier, Chicago is a strategic destination in the US market in terms of the potential traffic of Polish and other minorities living in the metropolitan area. In the new LOT Polish Airlines lounge, passengers will enjoy a modern work zone, a relaxation zone as well as a catering zone. There will be touches reminiscent of Polish tradition through, among other things, the use of amber in the space, as well as cooperation with Polish partners. The opening is scheduled for late Q3/early Q4 2024.

    LOT Polish Airlines has announced a codeshare partnership with US carrier JetBlue Airways. Until now, the airlines have cooperated under the terms and conditions of an interline agreement. The extension of joint operations entails offering passengers even better connections between Poland and the USA, which will be available as early as the 2023/2024 winter season.

    Wacław Makowski was the CEO of LOT Polish Airlines just before World War II as well as the first pilot to be trained from scratch in independent Poland. Makowski purchased the world’s most advanced passenger aircraft for LOT Polish Airlines. The former head of LOT Polish Airlines and skilled aviator effected a breakthrough in thinking about civil aviation – he turned an expensive toy available only to the elite into a means of transport.

  • LOT POLISH AIRLINES GENERATED A PROFIT OF PLN 113 MILLION IN 2022

    Warsaw, June 5, 2023 – The General Shareholders Meeting of LOT Polish Airlines approved the Company’s financial statement for 2022. Last year witnessed LOT Polish Airlines generating over PLN 113.7 million in profit with revenues exceeding PLN 8.3 billion, whereas LOT Cargo generated a record-breaking PLN 755 million in revenue. This means a return to the path of profitable development that was rendered possible through a gradually implemented commercial and operational strategy.

  • LOT AND BANK PEKAO COOPERATION

    Bank Pekao S.A. and LOT Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT S.A. have signed a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, Bank Pekao will offer its customers participation in Europe’s most extensive loyalty programme Miles & More. Participants in the programme will be able to earn miles for transactions made with selected bank cards, including the Żubr Credit Card.

  • LOT RESUMES FLIGHTS TO SRI LANKA

    As early as December 7 the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will take off from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Colombo Airport. This is the first flight to Sri Lanka after a months-long break, offering passengers from Poland and other European countries a sunny holiday in the middle of winter.
