Accessibility – what we offer?

MEDIF: Medical Information Form

MEDIF: Medical Information Form

When is the MEDIF form required?

  • If you need assistance from a doctor or medical staff during the flight.
  • If your health is likely to deteriorate as a result of air travel.
  • If you need to use an oxygen concentrator or other specialised medical equipment during the flight.
  • If you are more than 32 weeks pregnant.
  • If you have a multiple pregnancy or pregnancy complications.
  • If you travel with a baby who is 7 days old or younger.

The MEDIF form should be submitted no later than 72 hours before the scheduled departure. The medical examination must be completed for less than 14 days, calculated as the time from the date of completion of the document to the date of the travel episodes for which it is to be applied. This means that if you purchase a round-trip ticket with a stay of more than 14 days, another certificate must be prepared for the return episodes. The exception to this is travel on direct segments to/from the US for which the MEDIF certificate must be issued less than 10 days before the scheduled flight, and there is no need to provide another medical certificate for the return.
