LOT Summer Internship, or welcome aboard interns

LOT office building on a sunny day

We're off to a great start with LOT Summer Internship! On July 3, interns who would like to start their careers in the aviation industry joined us. When we launched the next edition of LOT Summer Internship in March, I don't think anyone expected such a huge interest. The Human Resources Office and the interns' supervisors from each department had quite a challenge. There were as many as 30 applicants per spot!

The best of the best

Recruitment for this year's internship began in March. In the first stage of the process, each applicant had to prepare a short presentation about himself/herself, in which his/her task was to convince the recruiters that he/she was the ideal candidate for the LOT Summer Internship program. As part of this stage, candidates also solved industry tasks in which they could demonstrate the knowledge they had gained so far. Those who answered the question: what do I expect from an internship at LOT in a convincing and interesting way moved on to the next stage. From this group, candidates were selected, with whom representatives of the Human Resources Office and supervisors conducted recruitment interviews.

This year's LOT Summer Internship 2023 is aimed at students and fresh graduates. It will open the gateway to a professional career for many. It will enable them to develop practical professional skills, build a sense of agency, and receive support from the best in the industry. The range of areas available for development and the number of applications received are proof that young minds are receptive to knowledge and open to new challenges. Creating a vision for aviation, using cutting-edge technology, and learning from Mentors' best practices are our pride, and at the same time an opportunity to identify young and ambitious talent!

- Wirginia Szymańska, recruitment development specialist

In the end, we selected 60 graduates and final-year students of technical, analytical, mathematical, as well as social sciences and humanities. The best of the best - candidates with a spark in their eyes, an aviation passion in their hearts and, above all, a hunger for knowledge and a desire to learn.

Spread your wings under the guidance of professionals

Since July 3, winners of the LOT Summer Internship program have been developing their potential in LOT's corporate, financial and technological areas. Fifty-six LOT Polish Airlines employees and associates have taken on the role of mentors.
