Travel to Israel
Are you planning to go to Israel? As of August, 1st 2024, anyone to travel to Israel must have a valid visa or Electronic Travel Authorization for Israel (ETA-IL) before they start their journey to Israel.
Who should apply for ETA-IL?
All visitors from visa-exempt countries should apply for traveling through the ETA-IL system, regardless of age and passport type (biometric and non-biometric).
Accredited diplomats will be exempted from applying through the ETA-IL system.

How can I apply for ETA-IL?
You can apply for ETA-IL through the website of Israel Population & Immigration Authority (opens in a new tab) or through our intermediary's website Sherpa.
How long will visitors be able to stay for?
Those who are eligible will be able to travel to Israel, and stay for up to 90 days or less upon receipt of approval to enter.
How long is ETA-IL valid?
ETA-IL approval will remain valid for up to 2 years, or until your current passport expires – whichever comes first. This means that as long as you received an ETA-IL authorization to travel, you do not have to reapply during the validity period.
If you obtain a new passport or change your name, gender or country of citizenship, you will be required to apply for a new travel authorization.
How much will ETA-IL cost?
The cost of ETA-IL is 25 NIS.
