Are there any restrictions for travelling with animals regarding breed?

Animals with a shortened and/or flattened muzzle, due to the high temperature and stress, can have considerable problems breathing freely during the flight, leading to hypoxia and circulatory disorders. Concerned about the health and safety of your pet, we have decided to limit the possibility of transporting brachycephalic dogs and cats under the aircraft. You can still take your pet into the passenger cabin, provided you meet the weight and cage size criteria.

Animals of brachycephalic breeds can be transported as cargo - see travelling with animals for more detailed information.

Make sure your dog or cat's breed is on the dropdown list we have prepared below before you book.

The restriction of transport below deck also applies to crossbreeds of the listed breeds and animals with characteristics of brachycephalic breeds (short muzzle).
