Yes. Check in early online via the website or LOT mobile app, and on the day of travel, go to the check-in counter at the airport with your suitcase. You can check in up to 36 hours before departure.
The type of document required depends on your destination

To check in online, you need your reservation number (6 characters) or ticket number (13 characters), along with the traveler's first and last name. Depending on your destination, you may be asked to provide a form of identification (ID card or passport) and, if necessary, a visa.

No. In the vast majority of cases, you do not need to have a printed confirmation of your reservation or ticket to check in at the airport. It is sufficient to present your identification document, and any ticket purchase confirmation can be kept in a mobile version.

The earliest you can check your bags vary based on the airline and airport policies. But in general, the earliest time you can check your bags is 2-4 hours before flight time.

Baggage check-in for flights operated by PLL LOT is open at least:

2 hours before scheduled departure time at Polish airports (except Warsaw) and other airports from which medium-haul flights are operated Europe, Middle East and North Africa);

3 hours before scheduled departure time for flights from the USA, Canada and other long-haul flights.

Always take into account the check-in closing time for scheduled flights, and the possibility of longer waiting time for the security check.
It depends on the travel route, transfer airports, and the airlines operating the flight. Rechecking baggage may sometimes be required.

For flights operated solely by LOT Polish Airlines, your baggage will be checked directly to the final destination.

In other cases, when the journey is divided into several segments and involves multiple airlines, it is best to inquire about the possibility of checking your baggage to the final destination at the departure airport check-in counter.
If you are completing your entire journey with our LO connections (direct flights or with a transfer), you only check your baggage once at your departure airport and do not pick up your baggage at the transfer airport.

You can check your connections on the booking confirmation you received via email. In the "Flight" field, you will find the three- or four-digit code our airline has assigned to the specific route. In the "Operated by" field, you will get additional information on who is operating the flight.

Checking these two fields will help you determine whether you need to pick up your baggage during the transfer or if it will be automatically checked through to your final destination.
If your journey is divided into segments, with each segment operated by different carriers (several airlines), ask at your departure airport how your baggage will be handled and whether you need to pick it up during the transfer.
