Key Information About Train Travel in Sweden

As part of LOT Fly&Rail, train services are operated by SJ – Statens Järnvägar. Your flight and train journey are included in a single booking, but check-in for the train segment must be completed separately.

In Sweden, rail check-in opens 72 hours before the scheduled train departure. The train ticket must be issued no later than 36 hours before departure.

Key Information About Train Travel in Switzerland

As part of LOT Fly&Rail, train services are operated by SBB – Swiss Federal Railways (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen). Your flight and train journey are included in a single booking, but check-in for the train segment must be completed separately.

In Switzerland, rail check-in opens 72 hours before the scheduled train departure. The train ticket must be issued no later than 24 hours before departure.

It depends on the rail operator:

Switzerland – SBB (Swiss Federal Railways): Seats are not assigned to your ticket. You can take any available seat in your booked travel class – 1st or 2nd class. If there are no seats available on your train, your ticket will also be valid for the next train service.

Sweden – SJ (Statens Järnvägar): Your train ticket includes an assigned seat. You’ll find your seat number on your train travel document.

After checking in online via the AccesRail website, download your travel document in PDF format. Save it on your mobile or print it out and show it to the ticket inspector on the train.

LOT baggage allowance rules apply on the flight, depending on the selected fare and class of travel. When packing for your entire trip, make sure to consider the baggage allowance specified on your flight ticket. Details can be found on the baggage page.

There is no limit on the number of items of baggage on the train; however, each passenger should be able to carry their own baggage .

You are responsible for making your own way between the terminal and the railway station. You also collect your checked-in luggage from the carousel on your own and take it to the train.

If a train delay or cancellation means you miss your flight, you are entitled to rebook onto the next available flight.

If continuing your journey by train, the rules of the relevant operator apply:

• SBB (Swiss Federal Railways): the ticket remains valid for the next train journey.
• SJ (Statens Järnvägar): contact the carrier to replace your ticket.

Your train travel class depends on the class of your flight directly linked to the train journey:

• LOT Economy Class – Second Class,
• LOT Business Class – First Class.

No, the LOT Fly&Rail service is not currently available for group bookings.
