Kraków John Paul II Airport (KRK)

Krakow-Balice Airport (KRK) is Poland's largest regional airport. Its full name is the Krakow John Paul II International Airport. The airport was given this name in 1995, due to the frequent visits of the Polish Pope during his pontificate. The second part of the Krakow Airport's name refers to its exact location, the village of Balice - 11 kilometers from the center of Krakow.
