Perishable goods are particularly sensitive to transport and may be damaged during transport and ground handling by exposing them to the adverse effects of external atmospheric or environmental factors, such as: temperature, humidity, wind, variable atmospheric pressure, external sources heat or aircraft engines turned on at a standstill.

Due to their nature, they often require special handling, packing, loading and unloading procedures.

These include: fruits, vegetables, groceries, dairy products, plant materials, flowers, fish and seafood, meat, but also some cosmetics.

Acceptance, air transport and ground handling of perishable shipments are in accordance with the requirements of the international regulations of the IATA Perishable Cargo Regulations (PCR) and other applicable local regulations.
