Sports equipment

With us, you can bring your favorite sports equipment to enjoy activities wherever you are. Familiarize yourself with the rules and start your journey!

• You can transport selected sports equipment free of charge if it fits within the baggage allowance included in your ticket. To use this option, please contact our Contact Center in advance and request to exchange your checked baggage for sports equipment. The maximum weight is 23 kg and the maximum dimensions are 203 cm. If your equipment exceeds these limits, please contact us for individual verification.
• The sports equipment that can be exchanged within your baggage allowance includes: fishing equipment, golf equipment, hockey equipment, inline skates, boogieboard/bodyboard, bowling equipment, parachute equipment, mountaineering equipment, scuba diving equipment, skateboard/board, skis (including water skis), snowboard, and tennis, squash, and badminton rackets.
• Other sports equipment not included in the list is subject to a fee. In such cases, it is classified based on weight and dimensions into one of the following categories: 
  
  • small - up to 10 kg and up to 140 cm,
  • medium - over 10 kg and up to 20 kg and over 141 cm and up to 200 cm,
  • large - up to 32 kg and over 200 cm.
• The weight limit applies to the entire set of sports equipment.

• You can take more than one item of equipment, but in this case, the applicable rates can be checked at the time of ticket purchase or in the Manage My Booking tab.
• Since space for sports equipment in the baggage hold is limited and varies between different aircraft types, some items of sports equipment may not be accepted. Check the availability of the service while booking your ticket on lot.com or thereafter minimum 24 hours before departure in the Manage My Booking tab. Remember to specify the type, weight and dimensions of your equipment. 
• The default weight for sports equipment is 23 kg. If you exceed this limit, there will be an overweight charge (up to a maximum of 32 kg). For transporting bicycles or equipment specified at the time of booking as large, no additional charge applies. For heavier equipment (i.e., over 32 kg), transport is only possible as CARGO.
• If you're continuing your journey with another carrier, please review their baggage regulations to avoid, for example, refusal of transport for your sports equipment.
• The sports equipment you plan to bring must match the details added to your booking. Otherwise, we may refuse to transport it.
• Are you a Miles & More member and holder of a HON, SEN or Star Alliance Gold card? In addition to your baggage allowance you may take also golf and skiing equipment.

• A fee for transporting a bicycle applies regardless of whether it fits within the baggage allowance included in your ticket.
• The maximum weight and dimensions requirements must be met. The maximum weight cannot exceed 32 kg. The maximum sum of all dimensions is 230 cm, with individual dimensions not exceeding 130 cm (length), 30 cm (width), and 70 cm (height). The dimensions are for a bicycle with the front wheel removed. 
• The bike should be secured with cardboard packaging, stretch foil, or it should be transported in a suitcase specifically designed for bike transportation.
• Failure to meet the requirements regarding the carriage of a bicycle may result in the refusal to accept the equipment at the airport, with no refund possible.
