Containers with liquids and similar products with a capacity of 100 ml each are permitted (effective maximum capacity is indicated on the label). All containers with liquids must fit into a plastic bag with a capacity of not more than 1 litre.

In order to increase passenger convenience and reduce number of confusing situations especially for transfer passengers at security checkpoints we would like to inform you on changed carry-on liquids and gels (LAGs) transport rules that will be applicable as of 31 January 2014 in EU Member States.

Not all restrictions will be waived, still only certain liquids will be allowed as hand luggage and they must be presented at transfer screening checkpoints at EU airports separately from other hand baggage.

allowed would be:
  • liquids in containers of 100ml or less packed in a single transparent, re-sealable 1-litre plastic bag;
  • medicines and special dietary products, such as baby food, vital for the trip;
  • duty-free liquids purchased from any airport or airline packed in a security bag (as shown below).

However, passenger may be asked by the security officer at transfer screening checkpoint in the EU to open the security bag for screening. In case passenger have a further connecting flight at another airport, the one should alert the security officer so duty free liquids are re-sealed in a new security bag. For duty-free purchased LAGs a receipt must be inside a security bag with and the bag cannot be opened until the arrival at the final destination.

All those liquids however exceptionally and solely for security reasons, may still be rejected for further transport. All other liquids, aerosols and gels should be placed in your checked (hold) luggage. A list of selected hazardous materials permitted to carry only in hand baggage (not permitted in checked baggage)
