On June 16th, during the most important aviation event of 2025 near Paris — the Paris Air Show — we selected our regional aircraft supplier.
Airbus A220 will join our fleet
The winner was the Airbus, which will strengthen our fleet with modern Airbus A220 aircraft.
A total of 40 Airbus A220 aircraft will gradually join our fleet starting in 2027.

The Airbus A220 aircraft uses the latest technological solutions, significantly enhancing the level of travel comfort.
The greatest advantages of the Airbus A220:
- Lower CO₂ emissions, reduced noise, and 25% less fuel consumption per passenger.
- Modern PW1500G engines from Pratt & Whitney.
- Comfortable Recaro seats with holders for mobile devices and USB-C ports with 60W power for each passenger.
- Large overhead compartments for carry-on luggage.
- A higher and more spacious cabin with larger windows, providing a sense of space.
We are choosing today with the future in mind. The Airbus A220 family aircraft, which will begin joining the LOT Polish Airlines fleet in 2027, open up new opportunities for development and growth, which are the pillars of our strategy. Modern, fuel-efficient, and designed with passenger comfort in mind, these aircraft will enable us to compete effectively in European skies, strengthen our position as the preferred carrier in our region, and prepare LOT to become a leading airline at the Central Communication Port.

This order for 40 Airbus A220 aircraft marks a historic milestone as we officially welcome LOT Polish Airlines into the Airbus family. The A220 will play a key role in modernizing LOT’s fleet and expanding its route network. The A220-100 and A220-300 are the perfect combination for these needs. We eagerly look forward to working with LOT, leveraging Airbus’s global expertise to support the airline’s fleet renewal program and ensure a smooth integration of the A220.
