Change / Cancellation of the reservation
Looking for answers to questions about changing or cancelling your ticket? Read the information below!
Have your plans changed? Need to postpone your trip? Or perhaps cancel altogether?
Whether you can rebook flights depends on the terms of the fare applicable to the ticket you have purchased. Please note that some tickets are non-refundable, with others there is a change or cancellation fee.
In addition, all changes to your booking must be completed before check-in closes.
You can find out whether you can change your ticket reservation and whether there will be a charge for doing so:
- in your "Manage Booking" profile,
- by contacting our Contact Center agents.
- using the online form.
You can also make the necessary changes to your ticket in the same places mentioned above.
The price depends on the type of ticket purchased and the selected fare. What does this mean exactly? For example, a surcharge will be added to the selected new flight, on the new date, for the higher booking class that is currently available for sale, at the time of the change. Other times, a fee will be charged for simply making the change to the ticket. Sometimes, changes to flight dates are not allowed at all, in which case it will not be possible to make a change.
You will find information on whether your ticket can be rebooked and whether there will be a fee for doing so in the terms and conditions of your fare under "Manage booking".
No. With our airline, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of our fares, it is not possible to exchange a ticket from a more expensive to a cheaper one and get a refund for the difference in price. In this case, the new ticket will be at the same price as originally purchased.
If the same fare is not available, it will be exchanged for a more expensive fare. The amount of the surcharge will depend on the availability of the selected booking class and will be indicated during the rebooking process.
It is true that Flex fares (both economy and business) do not have a so-called penalty fee, i.e. a fee that is charged each time a change is made to a ticket. What does this mean? If the same fare (same price offer, same fare conditions) is available on the new selected date, the change can be made at no cost.
However, if the fare is currently higher, we will need to pay a surcharge on top of the price of the new ticket.
The amount of the surcharge depends on the availability of the selected booking class and will be indicated during the rebooking process.
Yes. If your flight is confirmed, in order to cancel any leg of your journey, you must exchange your existing ticket for a new route.
- The change is made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the fare purchased. Our agents at the LOT Contact Center will provide you with information on whether such a change is possible and what the cost is.
- Depending on the new flight selected, a surcharge for a higher fare may be charged.
- The amount of the surcharge depends on the availability of the selected booking class and will be notified to you during the rebooking process.
Yes. Each passenger has an individual ticket which can be returned or changed, independently of the other passengers. To do this, however, you will need to separate your booking. To do this, please contact the LOT Contact Center.
In the case of online forms for both changing and refunding tickets - it is enough to indicate the correct ticket which is assigned to the passenger who wants to make a refund/exchange.
Please note that all exchanges and refunds are always made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the ticket purchased.
No. Health problems are not grounds for a full refund of the ticket purchased. Refunds in such cases are made in accordance with the terms of the fare purchased. However, the passenger may seek reimbursement of the difference from the insurer (if he/she has taken out appropriate insurance).
