Can I carry an oxygen concentrator?

Yes. If you want to carry an oxygen concentrator and use it on board, you must fill in the MEDIF form, in which your doctor will specify the expected consumption of oxygen. In the case of battery-powered concentrators, the batteries should be sufficient to ensure operation for 150% of the flight (e.g. 2h longer than the flight - in case of delays).

Please familiarize yourself with the current information and guidelines from the Federal Aviation Administration regarding the types of concentrators that can be carried (opens in a new tab).

Note! No MEDIF is required if you are not going to use an oxygen concentrator. Equipment of this type can be transported in your hand baggage.
