Amenities for travellers
The airport offers various services and amenities. Whether you are departing from the Chopin Airport or transferring to your next flight, you can use various amenities that will make your experience more pleasant and help you handle last matters before your travel:
We have prepared special check-in counters, marked as Family check-in (with stairs for small children), and playgrounds available after passing through the security check: two in the Schengen Area, and one in the Non-Schengen Area. Your children will have an interesting and safe play time using our LOT Dreamliner slide (the playground at Gate 1) or in the playground between gates 36/37 and 38/39.
- In Terminal A there are rooms equipped with a changing table, a wash basin and a feeding chair.
- Families with small children can use a specially marked passage in every security check zone – it is worth to look for one.
- The Chopin Airport offers strollers for children. Marked with a symbol of Fryderyka the Elephant, they can be found in the transfer zone just behind the security check, and you can use them free of charge.
For business travellers
- We have opened Fast Track for express security check processing. The service is available to holders of personalised Fast Track, Business Pass and Business Pass Premium cards. Travellers can also use the service by purchasing a single admission pass at the kiosk right at the Fast Track passage.
- Also, there are a exchange office and an ATM in the generally accessible zone.
- Business Lounge in the Schengen Area and Non-Schengen area
- Short distance from Fast Track
For tourists
- Travellers will find exchange office and ATMs in the generally accessible zone after passing through the security and passport checks.
- There are also free showers available.
- Displays with flight timetables and gate numbers are installed at every step. Clear markings directs travellers to appropriate gates - the ones marked with N, e.g. 7N, are for Non-Schengen Area, i.e. the zone behind the passport check. The ones marked with a digit only, e.g. 35, are for Schengen Area, i.e. the zone behind the security check.
- The flight timetables are divided into: arrivals on the left; and departures on the right. Make sure that you are reading the right timetable.
- If you have any problems, use one of the yellow telephones marked as airport information (+48 22 650 42 20; available 24h/7).
Hint: If your trip requires you to go through passport check and you want to buy some souvenirs, plan your shopping in the Schengen Area, which has more shops with cosmetics, clothes and food.
Interesting fact: The airport took its name after Fryderyk Chopin and his music, which is loved around the world. To promote his works, there are two pianos set up at the airport - one in zone B in the generally accessible part of the departures hall, the other just before the passage to the passport check counter. The pianos are available to all passengers, young and old, who have always dreamed of playing a real piano. It is a good idea to spend time at the airport in a productive manner, and also an opportunity to present your talent to a wider audience.
