Chubb Travel Insurance for LOT Customers
Now we have upgraded our Travel Insurance products to cover you following a Covid-19 infection.
Are you going on vacations or maybe planning business trip? With travel insurance you don’t have to worry about complications or extra expenses. LOT together with Chubb prepared three insurance options, so you can select the one that suites you best.
Your Travel Insurance Options
Option 1: Cancellation insurance
This is a cancellation and curtailment travel insurance policy. It provides cover for the costs you may incur due to cancellation or curtailment of your trip because of a justified reason and not excluded in the Policy Wording (opens in a new tab) such as:
- death,
- severe injury,
- sudden illness,
- medical recommendation not to travel,
- serious damage by storm, fire or flood in yours or your travelling companion’s home, when such damage occurs within 7 days immediately prior to the start of your trip.
- You or your travelling companion receive a judicial summon to act as a jury.
- You or your travelling companion are made redundant and have registered as unemployed.
Chubb will cover costs of the trip and / or the accommodation which you incur by cancelling or curtailing a trip by causes that are specified in Policy Wording (opens in a new tab).
Option 2: Travel insurance without cancellation
This is a travel insurance policy. Cover expenses incurred during the trip, such as medical assistance or reimbursement of expenses for certain unforeseen events abroad, not excluded in the policy (Insurance contract). Cover is valid for round trip bookings and one way trip bookings via LOT as long as a return flight has been booked back to Italy prior to departure. Return flight does not have to be booked via LOT
- The main coverages of travel insurance abroad, in an illustrative but not limiting title, are the following:
- Medical expenses
- Hospitalization
- Repatriation
- Urgent dental expenses
- Theft, loss or damage to personal effects and luggage
- Accompanying Traveller Expenses
- Personal Accident
- Private Civil Liability

Option 3: Comprehensive Travel insurance
This option is comprehensive insurance that is including all benefits form Option I (Cancellation) and Option II (Travel insurance).
