World Photography Day with LOT – Your Journey in a Frame
I. Definitions
The terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall mean:
a. Contest – the contest held under the name “World Photography Day with LOT - Your Journey in a Frame”, under the rules specified in these Terms and Conditions.
b. Organizer – LOT Polish Airlines, with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Komitetu Obrony Robotników 43, 02-146 Warsaw, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the capital city of Warsaw, 14th Commercial Division, under KRS number 0000056844, NIP (Tax ID) 522-000-23-34, share capital PLN 203,214,923.28 (paid in full).
c. Contest Website – the dedicated webpage of the Organizer within the domain lot.com, where Participants may submit their Contest entries.
d. Participant – any person meeting the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions who submits an entry via the Contest Website.
e. Contest Task – submission of one photograph and a short travel story (max. 300 characters).
f. Contest Jury – 3 representatives of the Organizer.
g. Winners – Participants whose Contest Works are selected by the Jury as the most interesting and who meet all the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
h. Prizes – LOT-branded merchandise: a LOT Backpack by PAK.IN for the Winner and 3 LOT Thermal Mugs for the Distinguished Participants.
II. General Provisions
1. The Organizer of the Contest under the name “World Photography Day with LOT - Your Journey in a Frame” is LOT Polish Airlines with its registered office in Warsaw.
2. These Terms and Conditions define the rules and conditions of participation in the Contest, the rights and obligations of the Organizer and Participants, and are binding on both parties. All promotional and advertising materials are for information purposes only.
3. The Contest is not subject to approval under the Gambling Act of 19 November 2009 (Journal of Laws 2009 No. 201, item 1540, as amended). The Organizer declares that the Contest is not a game of chance, lottery, mutual bet, promotional lottery or any other form provided for in the Gambling Act.
4. The Contest will run from 19.08.2025 at 09:00 until 24.08.2025 at 23:59.
5. Employees, associates, representatives or business partners of the Organizer, persons involved in the preparation of the Contest, as well as their immediate family members (children, parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, cohabitants, and relatives up to the second degree) are excluded from participation.
III. Rules of the Contest and Selection of Winners
1. Participation in the Contest is voluntary and free of charge.
2. To participate, one must be at least 18 years old and complete the entry form available on the Contest Website.
3. Each Participant may enter the Contest only once, i.e. submit only one Contest Work.
4. To participate, the Participant must complete the Contest Task by filling out the entry form available on the Contest Website at lot.com, providing the required details, and uploading one Contest photograph in line with the theme of the Contest.
5. Completion of the Contest Task and compliance with the conditions of participation constitutes entry into the Contest.
6. A Participant may resign from participation at any time by sending an e-mail to the Organizer at: contact.konkurs@lot.pl. This does not apply to Winners who have already received their Prize.
7. The Organizer reserves the right to exclude any Participant suspected of acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions, applicable law, or the rules of the Contest Website.
8. Submission of a Contest Work via the Contest Website is tantamount to the Participant’s entry into the Contest and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
9. To clarify any doubts, the Organizer may contact the Participant via the Contest Website and request additional information strictly related to the participation, including statements or source materials. The Organizer reserves the right to reject at any stage Contest Works that are unlawful, contrary to good morals, offensive, vulgar, obscene, insulting to religious, moral or national feelings, promoting violence, alcohol or drugs, or violating personal rights or copyrights of third parties.
10. Contest Works will be evaluated by a three-person Jury consisting of representatives of the Organizer.
11. The Jury will select 4 winning Contest Works. The Jury’s decision is final and requires no justification.
12. Winners will be notified via the e-mail address provided in the entry form.
13. Contest Works, in particular winning Works, may be published in the Organizer’s newsletter and on the Organizer’s official website, also after the Contest, in line with the license granted under Section III point 15.
14. Each Participant declares to be the sole author of the Contest Work and holder of all copyrights, or that their Work does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.
15. By entering, each Participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license for 24 months to use the Contest Work, including derivative rights, on the following fields of exploitation:
a. fixation and reproduction by any means, including printing, reprography, magnetic storage, and digital techniques;
b. distribution of the original or copies – placing on the market, lending, or renting;
c. making available to the public, including online, in a manner allowing anyone to access it at a time and place of their choosing.
16. In case of third-party claims arising from the Contest Work, the Participant undertakes to indemnify and defend the Organizer against such claims, including assuming costs of legal defense and damages.
IV. Prizes
1. The prizes in the Contest are:
1. Main Prize: LOT Backpack by PAK.IN (1 winner).
2. Distinctions: LOT Thermal Mug for 3 Participants whose works are distinguished by the Jury.
3. In order to enable the Organizer to deliver the Prize, each Winner and Distinguished Participant is required, within 3 days of receiving an e-mail from the Organizer (sent to the address provided in the entry form), to reply with their details: full name and the address to which the Prize should be delivered.
4. A Participant cannot transfer the right to receive the Prize to third parties.
5. The Prize is not subject to return or exchange for a cash equivalent.
6. Prizes for Winners will be sent by post to the indicated address only once.
7. In the event that a Winner or Distinguished Participant fails to fulfil the obligations specified in paragraph 2 of this section within the prescribed time limit, they shall forfeit the right to the Prize, which shall then remain at the sole disposal of the Organizer.
V. Personal Data Protection
1. The Organizer is the controller of Participants’ personal data. Contact: iod@lot.pl.
2. By entering the Contest, Participants consent to the processing of their personal data for the purposes of running the Contest.
3. Data will be processed for:
a. the purposes of carrying out the Contest, including participation through completing the entry form, publishing information about the winners and the winning photograph – based on the Participant’s consent to take part in the Contest until the winners are selected, as well as the Organizer’s legitimate interest consisting in conducting the Contest and selecting the winners;
b. the purpose of settling the Prize – if the awarding of the Prize gives rise to a tax obligation, the Organizer will process Participants’ data in order to fulfil its legal obligations under applicable law;
4. The Organizer has appointed a Data Protection Officer available at iod@lot.pl.
5. Data may be shared with service providers (e.g. IT, marketing, accounting) processing data on behalf of the Organizer. Winners’ data may also be shared with social media operators.
6. Data will be stored for the duration of the Contest and until claims expire.
7. The Participant of the Contest has the following rights in connection with the processing of their personal data by the Organizer:
a/ the right to withdraw consent to participate in the Contest until the winners are selected;
b/ the right to object to the processing of their personal data based on the Organizer’s legitimate interest, on grounds relating to the Participant’s particular situation;
c/ the right of access to personal data;
d/ the right to request the rectification of personal data;
e/ the right to request the erasure of personal data; the Organizer has the right to refuse erasure in cases provided for by law;
f/ the right to request the restriction of the processing of their personal data;
g/ the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office
8. The rights referred to in paragraph 6 above may be exercised by contacting the Organizer through any means of communication.
9. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to participate.
VI. Complaints
1. Complaints regarding the Contest may be submitted by Participants within 14 days from the end date of the Contest, in writing, by registered mail to the Organizer’s address indicated in Section I point B.
2. The deadline referred to in paragraph 1 shall be deemed met if the complaint is posted within that period, as evidenced by the postmark. Complaints submitted after this date will not be considered.
3. Complaints must include the complainant’s details (full name, correspondence address), the reason for the complaint, and the specific claim.
4. Valid complaints will be examined within 14 days of their receipt. The complainant will be informed of the outcome by registered mail sent to the correspondence address provided in the complaint.
5. Complaints shall be reviewed by the Organizer on the basis of these Terms and Conditions.
VII. Limitations of Liability
1. The Organiser is not liable for:
a) the content of entries;
b) if they can't get in touch with a Participant because they gave false or wrong info or didn't give any info at all;
c) in the event of inability to award the Prize due to the Winner providing incorrect data, refusing to accept or failing to collect the Prize at the address indicated by the Winner;
d) technical problems related to the operation of Internet service providers, including in particular interruption, suspension or distortion of the Internet connection that may affect the fulfilment of the conditions of participation in the Competition, including loss or destruction of the content of the Competition Entry;
e) the manner in which Participants use virtual space.
2. In the cases specified in points b. and c. above, the right to the Prize is forfeited and the Prize remains at the sole disposal of the Organiser.
VIII. Final Provisions
1. These Terms and Conditions are valid from publication on the Contest Website.
2. Information about the Contest may be obtained by contacting the Organizer at: contact.konkurs@lot.pl. Responses will be provided within 3 business days.

4. Any matters not regulated herein shall be governed by the Civil Code of Poland.
