Painted with Polish flowers. New scarves, pocket squares and ties in the uniforms of our cabin crew members. Hollyhocks, also known as Malwy in Polish, flowers inspired by Polish art, present in the works of Young Poland artists, promote Polish culture, elegance and Polish hospitality on board our aircrafts.
An expression of Polishness
The new elements in the uniforms of our crews were created in cooperation with the Polish brand LANCERTO, which derives from the best traditions of Polish design and tailoring.
Nature has always inspired artists, and hollyhocks, also known as Malwy in Polish, flowers that are a peculiar expression of Polishness, associated with the Polish summer landscape, appeared in the works of Young Poland artists such as Stanisław Wyspiański, Olga Boznańska and Józef Mehoffer.
LOT Polish Airlines is a proud ambassador of Poland to the world. Partnering with LANCERTO to create new uniform accessories is another example of our commitment to promoting modern Polish design, while remaining committed to tradition. Our crews reach more than 100 airports around the world every day, taking care of the safety and comfort of LOT passengers. We want the hollyhock, a flower associated with Polish art, to become a new hallmark of our hospitality and professionalism
- Izabela Leszczynska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience.
A subtle touch of Crane - our symbol
Complementing the floral motif of the pocket squares for the men's part of the cabin crew will be ties, maintained in appropriately selected colors of navy blue and red. The designers of the LANCERTO brand did not forget about the most important symbol of LOT - the Crane, accompanying the company since its inception, for 95 years. The symbol of luck and longevity in the form designed by Tadeusz Lucjan Gronowski continues to subtly accompany the accessories of flight crews and ground staff.
LANCERTO is a Polish fashion brand, so we are all the more proud to have been able to design and supply a collection of accessories for the flight and ground crew of LOT Polish Airlines. Each year we offer several hundred designs of clothing and accessories for women and men in our stationary stores and online store. However, the project of cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines is special, because for its needs we proposed a unique design, dedicated only to our partner. It is a great ennoblement to be able to accompany the crew in their daily work on several continents, and thus fulfill the role of a promoter of Polish design, style and quality.
- Michal Grochala, Brand Manager of the LANCERTO brand.
Promoting Polish culture and heritage
Changes in uniforms is our next project promoting Polish heritage and culture, which was created in cooperation with Polish brand. Recently, we have presented the results of collaborations with Polish brands, such as new porcelain by KROSNO, and PHENOME cosmetics in LOT Premium Economy and LOT Business Class amenity kits.
Wanting to actively promote Polish culture, we unveiled a new safety video (opens in a new tab) in December 2023, which was created in cooperation with the National Museum in Warsaw.
In addition, we cooperate with many cultural institutions, such as the Warsaw Uprising Museum and the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. In 2024, we became the official carrier of the 19th Chopin Competition, one of the most important music events in the world, as well as the title partner of this year's Summer Cinema (LOT Kino Letnie), organized by Kinoteka.
