Transport of animals as cargo in the baggage hold
If you are transporting a pet in the hold as cargo, remember that it should have:
- up-to-date vaccination records (against rabies),
- up-to-date veterinary health certificates (clinical examination, deworming, tick removal) in accordance with the regulations of the country of departure and transit ports (issued up to a maximum 48h before departure),
- a microchip,
- a special passport (issued by a veterinarian) with a description of the coat, breed, sex of the animal, and the microchip or tattoo number,
- a suitable carrier.
Transport of animals is only possible through shipping companies. An up-to-date list of shipping companies cooperating with LOT Cargo can be found on the Cargo Office website.
